Notarial Fees
I aim to keep my fees clear and transparent. Where possible, I offer fixed fees for common matters. For more complex instructions, my hourly rate applies.
Typical Fees

Additional certified copies £40 plus VAT
Standard documents – £150 plus VAT
Includes: affidavits, statutory declarations, child consent to travel letters, sponsorship letters, and general signature attestations.
Powers of attorney and deeds – £180 plus VAT
Minimum Fee & Hourly Rate
If your matter is not covered by the typical fees above, my minimum fee is £180 plus VAT.
Where the matter is more complex or time-consuming, my hourly rate is £300 plus VAT, plus any disbursements incurred.
This may include time spent on preliminary advice, drafting and preparation, making and receiving telephone calls, correspondence, arranging legalisation, and record-keeping.
Apostille & Legalisation
Where legalisation is required, I charge an administration fee of £40 plus VAT in addition to the relevant fees set by the FCDO or the Embassy/Consulate. Current FCDO fees can be seen on their website: FCDO legalisation fees.
Additional Charges
Travel or out-of-hours appointments – available on request; additional fees and travel expenses will apply.
Urgent / same-day requests – may attract an additional fee, which I will confirm in advance.
Courier or postage – charged at cost (Royal Mail Special Delivery is usually £9.25–£10.05; international courier fees vary).
Important Notes
All fees are subject to VAT at the current rate (20%).
Disbursements such as FCDO and consular fees do not normally attract VAT.
Please note: I do not provide services as a Commissioner for Oaths in relation to documents for use in England and Wales.
